Paula Drouin, President - ADR International Group
Paula is a Chartered Mediator, currently qualifying for the International Mediator Designation through the International Mediation institute. She holds a Certificate in Conflict Management from the Justice Institute of BC and a Certificate in Arbitration from the Alberta Arbitration and Mediation Society. She earned a Master’s Degree in Human Security and Peacebuilding through Royal Roads University.
Paula is known for her practical, non-threatening, user-friendly approach to conflict management and dispute resolution services and training. She is the past Executive Director of the Alberta Arbitration and Mediation Society and has owned and operated a successful dispute resolution business since 1997. She has a large network of colleagues in the ADR and legal field that she works with regularly and teams up with to meet client needs.
Paula’s background includes working for Corrections Canada at the Edmonton Institution for seven years, and working for MacEwan University when it was Grant MacEwan College in the Inmate Education Division for nine years. She is passionate about promoting grassroot dispute resolution and justice processes, including Restorative Justice.
